Mayor Sandoval, DepEd lead ‘Brigada Eskwela’ in Malabon City

In preparation for the opening of the face-to-face classes on Aug. 22, Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and the Department of Education in Malabon (DepEd-Malabon) led the “Brigada Eskwela 22” activity in the city on Wednesday, Aug. 3.

The event, with the theme “Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral,” started with a motorcade from the DepEd-Malabon School Division Office in Barangay Longos to Malabon National High School (MNHS).

Housing chief eyes partnership with Metro LGUs

Newly appointed Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Acuzar is eyeing partnerships with local government units in Metro Manila to address housing backlogs.

Acuzar presented the DHSUD’s housing strategies to Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto and Pasig Rep. Roman Romulo; Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and Vice Mayor Ninong dela Cruz; and Caloocan City Mayor Dale Malapitan during a consultative meeting with local officials in Metro Manila on Friday.
